Poonam Parhar is a software engineer, author, and Product Manager in Oracle’s Java Platform Group. She has deep experience in JVM sustaining engineering, specializing in HotSpot JVM issues with a focus on debugging, troubleshooting, and improving serviceability and supportability. Passionate about tackling complex garbage collection problems, she advances debugging tools to simplify identifying and resolving JVM challenges. Currently, she leads efforts to integrate AI capabilities into the Java platform, broaden access for Java applications, and enhance Java Management Service for enterprise workload management. A JavaOne Rock Star and co-author of “Java Performance Companion,” she shares insights with the Java community through her blog.
